Salesforce State of Sales Report

The State of Sales Report is Salesforce's recurring industry survey covering how sales professionals and leaders spend their time, how AI is being adopted, and what's changing in forecasting and productivity. It is an external, third-party source, not a SalesScreen publication.

What it found

Editions of this research have found that sales reps spend a large share of their week (commonly cited at 28 to 30% on revenue-generating work, with roughly 41% on administrative tasks) and that manual data entry alone consumes up to two hours a day for many reps. It has also tracked rising AI tool adoption among sales teams and its association with shorter sales cycles and higher close rates.

Where it's used

This research underpins SalesScreen's case for AI in Sales as a way to remove non-selling admin work, and its productivity findings are referenced in Sales Performance Management content.
