We believe everyone wants to give 100% at work, but staying motivated can be hard - especially these days. Remote work has made it more difficult to cultivate that in-office camaraderie that pushes and excites your team to hit the next major milestone. Achievements turboboost your team’s motivation and incentivize everyone from top performers, to middle performers, to those looking for glory, and those that just want to hone their skills.
Select from our set of pre-built achievements or create your own to fit your team goals. For example, if you were looking to ramp up the onboarding of new hires, you could create custom achievements that align with onboarding milestones such as:
So, why are achievements so successful? The short answer is, science. But the longer answer is that achievements tap into the three innate and universal psychological needs which motivate people, as outlined by the self-determination theory.
Self-determination theory says humans are motivated to grow and develop via three basic psychological needs—autonomy, mastery, and relatedness. Those three components are key to sustainable motivation within the workplace and achievements are an easy and proven way to tap into those needs.
No matter how your team is motivated, achievements will work for every type of seller.
No matter how your team is motivated, achievements will work for every type of seller.
Based off of the behavioral science that fuels much of our platform, we have recently released new features that stimulate the key elements of self-determination theory.
The first being our Achievement Streak feature. We’ve seen streaks in countless other apps lead to incredible success(we’re looking at you, Snapchat!) because they tap into the concept of loss aversion - the idea that once we obtain something, we are willing to go to great lengths to keep it. This is the fuel to the fire for Achievement Streaks and makes them a powerful tool to keep your team on track, focused, and reinforcing the habits which make successful sellers.
Our second is Achievement Sharing. We mentioned that relatedness, or the need to feel connected, is a necessary factor ofself-determination theory and a big reason for that is because our peers’ opinions of us matter. We want to be seen as competent and capable, we want to earn the respect of our networks, and personal achievements mean more when others are bought in too. That's why we made it possible to share achievements that your teams unlock to their social media profiles or to download and share via email.
When your reps share their milestones and achievements, it gets people talking about what is possible. This creates the perfect ecosystem for both personal and professional growth to thrive!
